The International Committee of Museums Security (ICMS) is offering a limited number of bursaries to museum professionals from low GDP countries in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Latin America and Central and Eastern Europe to attend the workshop on Disaster planning from 20 st – 21 th September 2018 in Nairobi, Kenya.

  • Applicants must be qualified museum professionals, currently employed in a museum or in a heritage institution.
  • Applicants must be curators, collection managers, security officers, technicians, archivists or museum administrators with some knowledge in disaster planning.

The deadline for applying is 30 st April 2018. Submissions received after this date will not be considered.

Please note that the ICMS Grant will be paid in Nairobi at the end of the meeting as a reimbursement for the below mentioned expenses.
NOTE: you will be required to produce detailed receipts to cover all expenses at the meeting. ICMS will then credit payment as soon as possible afterwards, Please allow up to 21 days. Kindly note that paymemt must be made into the account that paid the expenses. Payment will only be made for pre-approved expenses. Payment will only be made following the applicants attendance at all of the sessions of the meeting.
